Nutritionists may disagree over a good number of things. There are however, a few things that they do agree on. Here are some of them below;

So, Omega-3 fatty acids are necessary for proper functioning of our bodies.

An Omega-3 deficiency has now been associated with a lower IQ, depression, heart disease and many other serious diseases.

Omega-3 is found in fish, grass-fed meat, and eggs.

Every individual is unique and as such we should not apply the diet regime another person is practicing on ourselves even without being certain if it good for us. Difference in body types, in culture and even orientation can affect the type of diet we ought to go for.

Stick to the diet that is best for you and gives you your best possible results.

Chemically processed fats cause a whole lot damage in our body. It raises our cholesterol level, thereby putting our hearts and lives at risk.

Vegetables are packed with nutrients. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants.


  1. Sunbathing in the morning

Did you know that the human skin makes Vitamin D when it is exposed to ultraviolet rays from the sun? Oddly, it is very difficult to get enough Vitamin D from the diet. However, that can be taken care of by taking a tablespoon of cod fish liver oil each day.


  1. Do away with refined Carbs

When we take in refined carbs, it causes rapid spikes in blood sugar, followed by a surge of insulin in the blood. This, in turn, contributes to the body’s resistance of insulin, resulting in diseases like obesity and diabetes.


  1. Don’t become a junkie

Nobody’s saying supplements are not beneficial in any way, but we must not be hooked on them.

Truth is, no amount of supplements will ever make up for a poor diet.


  1. “Diets” Don’t Work, a Lifestyle Change is Necessary

Ever heard of ‘yo-yo’ dieting? That’s what a lot of people practice. Setting up a short-term fix when what you need is a lifestyle change doesn’t cut it. Do you know anyone who lost weight while on a diet and went to gain twice that weight later? Decide to adopt a healthy lifestyle.


  1. Unprocessed Food is Healthiest

Our average health as a people has drastically and dangerously reduced. Many attribute this to the increase in processed food.  Food processing destroys a lot of the nutrients our bodies need, often leaving us malnourished.
