Sometimes, great and exciting relationships seem to enter boredom mode, or things are not just as smooth as when the relationship started out. Sometimes, our relationships suffer as a result of our busy schedules; we are just all immersed in our career and dream pursuits that we forget our beloved partner and even our loved ones. We bring you tips on how to avoid your relationship entering boredom mode, or how to spice things up again and get back to romantic times.
Create time for each other. It is a common saying that what you love, you will create time for. Despite your busy schedules and the other pressures of life, it is important that you and your partner create time for each other. Don’t get so busy that you don’t have time for your lover. The truth is that you have a single life, and all the aspects of your life must be doing fine, including your love relationship; so you have to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Don’t be too busy to call to ask how your partner is doing; to say happy birthday and send a gift etc.
Talk, communicate. Talk out things with your partner, don’t bottle up your emotions. Iron out issues. Discuss challenges that you both are facing in your individual lives and as it affects the relationship. As you do, solutions will come up. Also, share your dreams and aspirations, discuss things about the future and your expectations, this is the beginning of accountability.
Pray for each other. Let God be the foundation of your relationship. Pray for each other and take time out to pray together as well. When you do, you are strengthening each other and giving life to the relationship too.
Relieve tension and stress. You and your partner should take time out to relieve stress and tension. Avoid arguments and controversies; issues can be resolved amicably and divergent views expressed without resulting into squabbles. Take time out just to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Go out together, see movies together, and do fun activities together. Do bonding activities together; you could go skiing, or go to the beach side.
